SO, today, your challenge is to make a "Not-to-do" list.
I know, I know. It seems impossible this close to Christmas, but remember, part of this challenge is to help us focus on the main thing. Jesus. ✝
Sometimes creating a "Not-to-do" list can be more important than focusing on our "to do" list. Of course, there are things we have to get done. But I bet if we were sitting and having coffee, there would be things you could let go of this week. 📃
Obvious things to think about are chores or items you can, and should, delegate. Don't try to be the Christmas superstar this week. What doesn't add value to this week? What doesn't glorify God? What is just over the top?
Maybe it's just staying off social media? Perhaps it's committing to not worrying? Not complaining? If turning off your notifications helps, shut them off. That has been a game-changer for me.
This season is about Jesus coming to earth as a baby wrapped in flesh, born to the common, in a manager no less. He could have come in all of His majesty, but He didn't. (He will when He comes back.)
For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, And the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.
While you're making your "Not-to-do" list, be sure to write down what you can and cannot control. Be sure you have things like quiet time and exercise on your “to do” list. Practice breathing. Watch for the God-winks. 👑
Write your list down. There's power in the pen. 🖊
And by the way, I am proud of you for doing this challenge! Keep it up!
P.S. Have you messaged us about your need for Beautiful Blessings? Have you nominated someone you love? 🎁 Can you help provide a blessing? If so, please let us know.
