Thoughts after my mountain top weekend
Beautiful Ones,
Thank you for those of you that prayed for me this weekend. I felt your prayers, and what a sweet experience to share Beautifully Broken, Forged through Fire, Up from Ashes with such a precious group of women. It was a weekend of healing for many. A weekend of peace for others.
If you’ve never attended a women’s retreat, a weekend away with Jesus, I implore you to. It is beyond wonderful.
The one thing I heard repeatedly from God this weekend was, “Call them back to Me.” I’m not sure how or what that means exactly, but I’m listening and completely availing myself and my heart to Him. This ministry, BeautifullyBrokenx3, was created to encourage and inspire, to empower women to overcome the battles they’re walking through. To know they’re not alone. To know their comeback story in just ahead of them.
God clarified that for me this weekend. It is also about THE battle. While the world and culture war around us, we are to stand firm, to be His warriors, His worshippers, His LOVE to a dying world. We are to tell and teach that BEAUTY from ashes is what He does best.
If you know me, you know I don’t believe in coincidences. As I was getting close to the camp Friday afternoon, a song came on I had never heard before. It spoke to me, and I knew it was for you. It’s called Hallelujah Even Here, by Lydia Laird. I’ve put the link below. It was not lost on me that as I drove off from camp Sunday, the same song came back on. Y’all, again, I had never heard the song before Friday.
As I replayed it this morning in my quiet time, God whispered several messages to me.
For you, those of you feeling overwhelmed, trying to make your way through and around the mess, praying for this season to pass… whether it be a season of questioning, a season of letting go, of trusting Him more… a season of stretching like you’ve never known… God is calling you back.
He will be your strength and shield.
He will be all that you need.
As the battles rage and the storms seem to never end, BOW to Him. Surrender. Praise Him through those tears. Sing a Hallelujah Even Here. (Yep, part of the song.)
